Hello you! I’m Emma, the doodling, story loving designer behind Utterly Conkers, a boutique greeting card publisher. Passionate about pretty papery things and dollops of sparkle. After years of writing children’s fantasy stories while working in Technology Marketing, I returned to my first love, art.

Combining my fondness for creating colourful characters and painting, designing Utterly Conkers’ greeting cards began in lockdown at my kitchen table alongside homeschooling my two daughters. Although happy to point out my stray paint splodges, my family encouraged me to take the plunge and Utterly Conkers’ greeting cards are now available to buy as well as being shortlisted in The Henries Awards (the greeting card world's Oscars) in the Best Cute Category with our Canine Chums collection. We have stockists in the UK as well as US, Canada and as far afield as Australia. 

Every watercolour illustration is carefully painted and it’s so rewarding that my greeting cards spread love, holding heartfelt messages to someone special.

Lover of shiny, smooth conkers (which abundantly fall in the surrounding Hampshire countryside), I’m inspired by my experiences and enjoyable things in life. From searching for a family dog (we settled on a sausage), to watching buzzing bumble bees nesting in our garden, I’m constantly on the look out for another creative subject.
